Hey, and welcome to this Rentibly how-to: areas, amenities and custom fields. Three lists in Settings that shape how every home you manage is described. Here's what we'll cover — the chapter times are right here, and in your player. Let's get started.
Three lists shape how every home is described. First, Areas and Locations: your cities and their neighborhoods, up to three levels deep. The number beside each one is how many homes are tagged there — click it, and you see them.
Let's add a neighborhood to Denver. Its menu, Add child: Sloan's Lake. Press Enter, and it's saved. Drag a row to reorder it, drop it on another to nest it, and click any name to rename it.
Next, the amenities catalog — the checklist you tick on each home. Add one to Kitchen: a blender. Or start a new group — for Denver, Ski and snow — with ski storage. Everything here saves as you go. Your own amenities show on your website; the booking sites only take the ones they recognize.
Finally, custom fields: details Rentibly doesn't track out of the box. Pick a module — Bookings — and New Field. Label: Arrival flight. A short description for your team. The type is text. You can limit who sees it, make it required, or show it to owners. Create.
There it is, with the name the API uses. Standard Fields lets you make built-in fields required — careful, those switches save the moment you click them. And our new field is ready to use. Open the Juniper Lofts check-in form, and the arrival question we added earlier. Its map-to list now includes Arrival flight, as a booking custom field — so a guest's answer would land right on their booking. We were only looking, so we'll discard that.
Thanks so much for watching! If you're already on Rentibly, open Settings, Areas and Locations, and make sure every home is tagged to its neighborhood. And if you're not on Rentibly yet, book a demo call, and we'll show you all of this, live.
