Hey, and welcome to this Rentibly how-to: utility bills. Our Denver loft's internet bill is due — let's record it, and make sure the owner is charged. Here's what we'll cover — the chapter times are right here, and in your player. Let's get started.
Utility bills start on the property. Configurations, Facilities, Utility Accounts: one row for each service — here, the internet, from Highlands Fiber. The account number, the day each month the bill arrives, the provider's portal login, and who pays it: the owner directly, or you — and then you bill the owner.
Automate sets up a reminder: a rule that opens a 'pay this bill' job every month, on the bill day. It opens Automations with everything filled in — you pick the job type and save it there. We'll leave it for now.
When this month's bill comes in, record it as an operation. Operations, New Operation, and choose the category: Utility Bills. Then the home — Juniper Lofts. A Utility account box appears, listing the accounts you pay for this home. Pick the internet account, and the type fills itself in — Internet — along with the title.
The amount: sixty-five dollars. Bill the property owner is on, so when the job's completed, it goes on the owner's statement. The date it's due, and a short description. Leave it unassigned if you pay it yourself — no one is notified. Create Operation.
It's on the board, with the bill-payment checklist attached: check the account and billing period, pay it, and upload the paid receipt. Mark it complete once it's paid, and the sixty-five dollars posts to the owner's statement automatically.
Thanks so much for watching! If you're already on Rentibly, open a home's Facilities tab, and add every utility account you pay for it. And if you're not on Rentibly yet, book a demo call, and we'll show you all of this, live.
